We're excited to be hiring two brand new, full-time staff roles to help shape and deliver the Union's next steps in its journey.
About Royal Agricultural University Students’ Union (RAUSU) and working here
RAUSU is a charity which exists to improve student life for Royal Agricultural University (RAU) students. Based on a beautiful campus in Cirencester, RAU has around 1,100 students from 43 countries and is one of the UK’s leading institutions for agriculture and rural-related studies. We are proud to work positively and in close partnership with RAU to enhance students’ experiences.
RAUSU is at a pivotal point. Following a period of significant change, we now have a new Director supporting a newly elected President alongside a committed Board of Trustees, with the aim of building something special.
As a new member of our small team, you’ll have the opportunity to make a lasting impact by shaping the Union's future. It’s an exciting time to join RAUSU where you can develop your ideas and your career in a fun, fast-paced and supportive environment.
We’re looking to build an inclusive, flexible and fun working culture with people who are up for getting stuck in and getting stuff done. There are high expectations with high levels of trust which is backed up by high support.
We offer a pension scheme, generous annual leave, opportunities for development and in partnership with the University, there’s free tea and coffee and free parking too.
Whilst the roles have lead responsibilities, as part of a small team you will have the opportunity to get involved in all aspects of RAUSU life. No two days will be the same.
Our newly approved vision, mission and values give you an idea of the Union we are building and if these sound like something you're on board with, we’d love to hear from you.

Working in partnership to shape a better RAU for all
Values
Student-led – We put students at the heard of everything we do. Their needs, ideas and voices drive our decisions
Collaborative – We build relationships built on trust, openness and shared purpose – across the University, with partners, and among students
Inclusive – We create spaces and opportunities where everyone feels welcome, seen and valued
Accountable – We are transparent in our decision, responsible with our resources, and committed to continual improvement
Bold – We are not afraid to challenge, to change, or to lead – when it matters, we show up and speak out.
