The RAU Students’ Union (RAUSU) is here to support and represent all students at the RAU throughout your studies here. We are located in the SU building next to the Tithe Barn. Feel free to drop in and have a chat - we are a small team so if you can't find us drop us a message on Instagram or via WhatsApp
Your first week on campus can feel daunting but the SU are here to help and provide events for you to get properly settled in to Ciren life. Events include a UV party, mixology classes, movie nights, pub crawls around the town and many other exciting events. Welcome Week also gives students the chance to meet and join societies and sports and get to know the lovely people of Cirencester. The week culminates with the Freshers’ Festival which had over 500 attendees in 2023 and is the first of many larger events and an important part of the RAU experience.
There are a range of clubs and socieites that you can join here at the RAU and if you can't see one that you would like to join with support from other like-minded students we can help you set one up. Addiitonally the University has competitive sports teams that play in the BUCS leagues which you can join.
To help you enjoy your time at the RAU, your SU co-ordinates a number of events which run along side the weekly events hosted by the RAU's weekly socials in Tithe Barn. From the Winter Ball to May Ball and through RAG (Raising & Giving) week there is plenty to get involved in abnd opportunites to meet new people.
The RAUSU is your student voice at the University, and your elected RAUSU President is based here to champion your voice. There are also opportunities to get involved yourself and volunteer to help. Get in touch to find out more about volunteering opportunities.
