To compete in BUCS students must purchase the SU BUCS membership. This membership comes in two parts. First part is £50 which goes into the SU pot to support the administration of running a BUCS team. The second part is £20 which goes into the club pot to be spend by the club.

If you or your club don’t compete in the BUCS league or knockout programme, but want to compete in a one-off BUCS event, the costs associated with this will be dealt with on a case-by-case basis. Please speak to the Sports Development Manager for further information. If you play for two different BUCS clubs e.g., Netball & Lacrosse. You only need to pay the £50 cost to the SU once but will need to pay £20 club fee to both clubs.
Students will need to pay for their membership by visiting the SU shop. Payments will be moved to the new SU website once that is up and running to allow for better flexibility for students. The SU allows two windows in the academic year where students can train for free. These include the first two weeks of term 1 following the Sports & Societies Fair, and the first two weeks after the Christmas break. Outside of these times, all attends must be paid members.
