1. Support international students to assimilate into the RAU community

International students deserve an authentic RAU experience. I believe that my upbringing in different parts of the world, will allow me to connect with International Students. I will signpost to relevant university departments to ensure students feel confident and supported across all aspects of university life in the UK.

2. Assist International Students with sourcing accommodation & transport

I will ensure that international students are equipped with the skills and know-how to source accommodation that suits them and any dependants they may bring with them.

From personal experience, I understand that moving to a new country can be daunting and challenging. I will gather relevant information like details of bus/train times, supermarkets, shops and sporting/leisure opportunities etc and share these.  

3. RAU support for International Students  

I will work with Student Services to ensure enough support is given to International Students throughout the entirety of their time at the RAU. I will promote British culture programmes and English language classes, hosted by Student Services, to equip international students with skills they need. I would like International Students to feel confident about who to go to when issues arise.
